You-Xue Lin graduated from University of Edinburgh with Master Degree in Documentary Film. Originally from Taiwan, You-Xue has started making short documentary since October 2010. In 2011, his experimental short film ‘I Love Edinburgh’ won the Top Prize of Global Horizon’s Film Competition. In the same year, his short documentary 'Our Last Uni Days' is commissioned by PTS (Public Television Service) to broadcast nationwide in Taiwan;
In 2012, You-Xue's work 'Takeaway' won the commission through Scottish Documentary Institute (SDI) Bridging the Gap, which is a leading new talent initiative for cinema in the UK. Also, 'Takeaway' had its world premiere at prestigious Edinburgh Film Festival, later on showing at Curt.Doc Film Festival in Spain, Faito Doc Film Festival in Italy and ReFrame Film Festival in Canada. In 2013 You-Xue moved back to Taiwan and started working as independent filmmaker for several TV channels.
